Starring : Alden Ehrenreich/Woody Harrelson/Emilia Clarke

<><><>

Through a series of daring escapades deep within a dark and dangerous criminal underworld, Han Solo meets his mighty future copilot Chewbacca and encounters the notorious gambler Lando Calrissian.

<><><>

I was somewhat disappointed with the storyline in that it was predictable.
What I liked about some of the star wars franchise was to expect the unexpected.
Still solid enough I guess even though Disney was involved.
The special and visual effects were ok as were the performances, so worth a watch.

<><><>

In a terrifying care-free future, a young man, Guy Montag, whose job as a fireman is to burn all books, questions his actions after meeting a young woman...and begins to rebel against society.

<><><>

This film is a modern adaption of the Ray Bradbury book of the same name and not a particularly good one. It is just a pity that the book's themes are only loosely adhered to.
Did it entertain ? well to a point but, the 1966 version is much better and is still available on DVD.
One I think for Sci-Fi addicts....

5/10

<><><>

A dramatized story of what might have been of the life and times of the famous mummy found in the Alps..
The lack of sub-titles did not distract as the storyline was well put together.
The cinematography was good to...

The Captain aka Der Hauptmann
UK certificate 15
115 mins

Genre : Drama/History/War

Contents Advisory : Strong Violence/Threat

Special Note : A German language film with English sub-titles.

An entertaining film of a mans descent into moral corruption...

The Hurricane Heist

Directed by : Rob Cohen

Starring : Toby Kebbell/Maggie Grace/Ryan Kwanten

<><><>

Thieves attempt a massive heist against the U.S. Treasury as a Category 5 hurricane approaches one of its Mint facilities.

<><><>

The movie is far fetched and unrealistic in a lot of areas, but it is action all the way, and in my opinion entertaining. The visual effects were good as was the cinematography...so all in all not a bad effort.

6.5/10

Alien Siege
UK certificate 15

<><><>

Oh dear I was looking forward to this film but was disappointed by the average acting and to a budget visual effects. Why they continue to make Sc-Fi on a small budget is beyond me, still I suppose they think there is a market.
One for those that like poor cheesy storyline and a ludicrous plot.

Image

Genre : Action/Drama/War

<><><>

Hurricane (RAF Squadron 303) is the story of a group of brave Poles who fought in the skies over England in WW2, not just to keep Great Britain free from the Nazis, but also to keep alive the very idea of their own country, which had existed in its modern form for barely twenty years before it was crushed between the opposing jaws of Germany and Russia.

<><><>

A well acted drama of the time of the Battle of Britain in 1940.
The cinematography was fine but more of a budget should have been set a side for the visual effects
Nevertheless I found the film entertaining bring back the feel of the country at war.
Note that there are English sub-titles when Polish Language is spoken.
Worth a watch...

<><><>

Awesome visual effects especially in the beginning of the film. Sadly this was not complimented by the storyline which linked the action scenes. Instead rather bland with little in the way of character building.
That said I was entertained and as I have indicated the visual effects were memorable.

The Storyline and plot works well, some what slow to begin with.
Yep for gore lovers there is that too...one might say a tripp into hell...
