Well a disappointment ....Just seemed average compared to the first outing.
Special effects were good, but the storyline let the movie down.

Well not bad ..But...........Plot was full of holes, an uneven Storyline gave moments where nothing happened at all.
Could have been a lot better...That said there are some good scenes.

For those that like a bit of action & these two guys..worth a watch

Sick horror...Gory in the extreme with some gut wrenching moments.
Little in the way of a Storyline and quite frankly utterly pointless..
However it gets a 4-rating for the special effects.

Yes it has a Storyline & reasonable plot to-boot.

Memorial Day not only takes us on a journey into Bud's complicated wartime past, but also into Kyle's wartime future. As the two men share parallel experiences in combat, they come to realize how that magical day on the porch shaped both of their lives.

Once in a while a gem of a film comes along...Memorial Day is one.
Superb performances creating much depth in the characters & storyline....This film will tug at your emotions for sure, as it did mine.

Only time will reveal who they are and what they want, but things are not everything they might seem.

A Good Day to Die Hard...

When the Russian prosecutor talks to Jack he claims to have information that could help convict a man named Komarov who is going to be tried. McClane arrives and proceeds to the Russian courthouse where Komarov's going to be tried. When he arrives there's an explosion that levels the courthouse. Jack takes Komarov and they escape, McClane shows up and Jack is not happy to see him. The men who bomb the courthouse chase Jack. McClane follows and helps Jack. Jack then picks him up then they go somewhere, where McClane discovers that Jack is a spy and he was suppose to get Komarov because it seems he has evidence against a corrupt Russian official who was behind the bombing. When he agrees to give them the evidence in exchange for his freedom and daughter's, the men find them. So McClane and Jack have to get the evidence and get out of Russia. When they go to meet the man's daughter, McClane senses something is not right.

The Hobbit : An Unexpected Journey

Bilbo joins the company in an unexpected journey through dangerous lands of the Middle-Earth where they have to fight against Trolls, Orcs and other magic creatures. Bilbo also meets the Gollum and finds his lost magic ring.

A spectacular adaption of the Tolkien Saga...very similar to Lord of the Rings in style & execution.
I thought the characters were less engaging than they were in Rings...at times my mind wondered, perhaps the pacing was not to my liking..

However I recommend this film to all.

The Man with the Iron Fists

In Jungle Village, the leader of the Lion's clan Gold Lion is summoned by the Governor and assigned to protect his gold that will be transported through the village. However he is betrayed and murdered by the greedy Silver Lion and Bronze Lion. Gold Lion's favorite son Zen Yi, a.k.a. The X-Blade, seeks revenge and heads to Jungle Village, but he is defeated by Brass Body and rescued by the local Blacksmith Thaddeus. Meanwhile the Gemini Female and the Gemini Male protect the Governor's gold, but they are vanquished by the army of Silver and Bronze Lion. The Blacksmith is abducted by the Lions and has his arms severed by Brass Body. However he is saved by the British Jack Knife, who is the emissary of the Emperor, and he manufactures iron arms for Thaddeus. Meanwhile the Governor sends the Jackal army to fight against the Lions and they hide the gold in the brothel of Madam Blossom. However, Madam Blossom and his girls form an army of black widows and together with Jack, Zen Yi and The Blacksmith, they fight against the Lions.

Oh Dear...I think RZA better not give up is music career...The Direction was dire as was the Script.
Not even Russell Crowe & Lucy Liu could salvage this mess.
That said, the fight scenes & eventive deaths were good.

The defense is immensely relieved, but Reacher has come to bury the guy. Shocked at the accused's request, Reacher sets out to confirm for himself the absolute certainty of the man's guilt, but comes up with more than he bargained for.

A neat action thriller well acted & with a good Storyline.....Good fun !!

First each must obtain a forgery; then, they have to smuggle the forgeries into the museum and find a way to make the switches. The heist is complicated by Roger's intrusive wife - he's promised her a trip to Florida for their anniversary - and George's proclivity for taking his clothes off when standing in front of the warrior statue he loves.

A satirical comedy with a predictable storyline.....Good fun & for those that like the lead actors recommended.

One night aboard their Japanese cargo ship in the middle of the ocean, a deadly storm hits and sinks nearly all that Pi holds dear. He survives in a lifeboat with several of their zoo animals, including a fearsome Bengal tiger. In a struggle to survive, Pi and the tiger forge an unexpected connection that gives him daily motivation to live.

Just when you thought that they had done all the shark stories, along comes this.
A surprisingly fun horror ride from Australia.....If somewhat average in its storyline...and in parts poorly executed.
Worth a watch.

In South Central Los Angeles, street cops Brian and Mike are partners - balls-out cowboys patrolling the streets as Latino gangs are in a power struggle with Blacks. Brian and Mike get lucky a couple of times, making big drug and human-trafficking busts, so a Mexican cartel orders their deaths. We meet Mike's pregnant wife (whom he married out of high school) and watch Brian's search for a soul mate. There are internal squabbles within the ranks of the LAPD and lots of squad-car conversation. Can the lads escape the cartel's murderous reach?

An excellent cop movie, spolit for me by the "found footage" stryle camera work...quite frankly camera shaking is unnecessary & is intrusive in parts of the film....
That said the lead performances are outstanding as is the Storyline.

The trial is highly secret, with no-one, including the staff who administer injections, aware of who is receiving the drug and who is in the placebo group. Shortly after the trial begins it becomes clear that something has gone wrong. There are unexplained disappearances, bizarre silhouettes and screaming from behind locked doors. Locked inside the facility, unaware of the true nature of events, the surviving patients and staff must band together to try and find a way out of the nightmare.

A neat horror let down by lack of imagination.
Well acted with an average storyline.

Beth (Vinessa Shaw) and Francis (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), a young married couple, are on holiday together when they venture to a beautiful, but highly remote, island. Beth is pregnant and the two are hoping to enjoy their last vacation before their baby is born. When they arrive, they notice that while there are plenty of children present, the adults all seem to be missing. Initially attributing this to the after effects of a recent festival, they quickly realize something far more sinister is afoot. The two will face terror and unsettling difficult decisions in their quest to make it off the island alive.

This is a remake of the 1976 film " Who Can Kill a Child"....and I have to say not particularly good one...
The Direction was average & the storyline a tad weak with no real surprises.
That said the performances were good.

The Storyline was some what confusing the acting by some over the top.
Not for me.

After finding them, Django wants to find his wife, Broomhilda who along with him were sold separately by his former owner for trying to escape. Schultz offers to help him if he chooses to stay with him and be his partner. Eventually they learn that she was sold to a plantation in Mississipi. Knowing they can't just go in and say they want her, they come up with a plan so that the owner will welcome them into his home and they can find a way.

Superb !! Tarantino at his absolute best....This complimented by outstanding performances, and a trually top draw script..makes for a cinematic treat.
It is hilarious in places, often brutal in parts, and out & out racist in others....but it fits the period perfectly.

A must see movie

He denies being impaired, so while an investigation is underway, he is told to keep his act together. However, letting go of his addiction is not as easy as it seems...

Washington at is very best...a formidable character study of a man and his addiction to Alcohol & Drugs..
The Storyline & Direction were excellent....You will be mesmerised by Washnigton's performance...
