That said the Direction & performances were fine.

<><><>
A Film set in the middle ages....Good Storyline gives a flavor of the often brutal times....torture & executions.
Much like Game of Thrones in character, but otherwise not as good.
Kathy (Rachel Weisz) is an American police officer who takes a job working as a peacekeeper in post-war Bosnia. Her expectations of helping to rebuild a devastated country are dashed when she uncovers a dangerous reality of corruption, cover-up and intrigue amid a world of private contractors and multinational diplomatic doubletalk.

Excellent Biographical story of Kathryn Bolkovac...Well acted by Weisz...Based on actual events the movie takes you into the dark world of Bosnia at the time, Mercenaries & so called Diplomats.
Great Direction & Cinematography...

Some say that all houses have memories. For one man, his home is the place he would kill to forget. Successful publisher Will Atenton (Craig) quit a job in New York City to relocate his wife, Libby (Weisz), and two girls to a quaint New England town. When Will investigates the tragedy, his only lead comes from Ann Paterson (Watts), a neighbor who was close to the family that died. As Will and Ann piece together the disturbing puzzle, they discover that the story of the last man to leave Will's dream house will be just as horrifying to the one who came next.
<><><>
Excellent performances by the leads, particularly Craig & Weiszm, let down by a somewhat confusing storyline...Thats said a competent mystery thriller for those that like the genre, however the movie is not a horror film as some may interpret from the trailer.
6.5/10

Very average outing...One for action addicts only.

Still..worth a watch particularly by those that like the genre.

When he sees her report, he's impressed and asks her to work with him and she does. She's anti-social but is extremely efficient.
<><><>
An outstanding adaption of the Book by Steig Larsson, and in my opinion better than the Swedish Film which was not as well measured in it's storyline...
Memorable performances by the leads, especially Mara as Lisbeth Salander....
Top draw Storyline, fine Direction & an amazing musical score tops it all off..

On the night of the discovery of a duplicate planet in the solar system, an ambitious young student and an accomplished composer cross paths in a tragic accident.
<><><>
Every so often a real gem of a film comes along..."Another Earth" is one such.
Is a tender character drama played with stunning presence by Brit Marling...She also co wrote the Story which is just as good.
It is a study of guilt & remorse for what she has done & how she tries to gain penance for it from the Man whos family she killed.
Not one for Sci-Fi gung ho addicts then, but if you like solid Drama with a dash of Sci-Fi this is for you.

<><><>
What can I say.....Stunning adaption of the Book by Michael Morpurgo...
Top draw Direction (Speilberg at his best), Storyline & performances beautifully shot...
It does not often happen but I was moved emotionally, especially by the end scenes......Indeed the Storyline sturs much passion.
Elderly and a virtual prisoner in her own home due to her concerned staff and daughter Carol, Margaret Thatcher, Britain's first woman prime minister, looks back on her life as she clears out her late husband Denis's clothes for the Oxfam shop. Denis is seen as being her rock as she first enters parliament and then runs for the leadership of the Conservative Party, culminating in her eventual premiereship. Now his ghost joins her to comment on her successes and failures, sometimes to her annoyance, generally to her comfort until ultimately, as the clothes are sent to the charity shop, Denis departs from Margret's life forever...
<><><>
I have mixed feelings about this Film....Yes Meryl Streeps Performance as Margeret Thatcher is Top Draw, somewhat sentimentalised I think....
The Storyline line was a bit uninteresting at times and the flash backs somewhat disjointed. There was a feeling that playing safe with a controversial figure is best.
That said there are touching scenes which show the moments of grief for her dead husband & not being able to let go....and yes dementia and its effects.
So a mixed critique...I think you will either love or hate this film.
