Dunno what shall I post there but thats pretty good
Someone mixed up The Prodigy - Voodoo People and The White Stripes - 7 Nation Army
Both my favourite songs ;P
I am hunted by the future
Will the future be my past?
Or is time a fade out picture
Of my everlasting cast?
Love is phasing
Love is moving
To the rhythm of your sight
I get closer
To the crossing point of light
I was a lost kid in search of myself as a person, following trends just to be part of the crowd, anonymous. I listened to house or whatever, dressed like a fool just to be a part but never felt like it was totaly me. I was disconnected from media like MTV (which is a blessing in hindsight) and commercial stations so didnt have a real clue of what was going on in music apart from what other kids told me what's "cool"
... untill one glorious day ... It was a top 30 on the tv and out of the blue came this artist on stage playing a live instrument ... I was gobsmacked, like "WTF??? do people play life music" (proves how disconnected I was at that time) I was used to playback artists and other stupid gimmicks but not to the real deal!!! And the music was totaly different then all that commercial crap ...
The lyrics also described how I felt then ... full of rage and frustration aimed at the people that hurt me ... so-called friends ... family
But from that day on my quest of self discovery had finaly taken a U-turn into positivity ...
I didnt have a CD player and discovered a guy at school who owned that album, he made a copy for me on tape and on the backside he put Sepultura - Chaos A.D!!!
What an awesome album if you are filled with teenage angst! Then a couple of months later I had a chance to watch MTV on holliday with my aunt and had a chance to see Pantera performing the killer track Domination (R.I.P. Dimebag Darell) ...
another dude copied the cd and I was blown away again with songs like Cemetery Gates. Later on I FINALY got a cd player at the tender age of 15 and piece by piece I started collecting the Metallica CD's ... Master of Puppets (one of the best albums ever) and so on and on and on...
And here we are now stronger then ever, and content with life as it is, listening to killer groups like Opeth and S.O.A.D. !!!
Turn around and I will show you something
Turn around and you will see
Life is like a roundabout
A kind of lsd
Turn around and have faith in all the changes
Turn around and you will feel
No more age of loneliness
You are a part of me
