If you try to run GTA V on a laptop which has double graphics hardware (chipset + dedicated graphics card), you might end up in a situation where the game launcher will simply refuse to start.

Symptoms
You will notice in the task management that GTAVLauncher will pop-up and disappear a few seconds afterwards.
No error message will appear whatsoever

Solution
You need to deactivated the dedicated graphics card for the launcher to be able to display the Social Club panel:
  1. Open the Device Manager using one of the following ways:
    • In the Start menu, right-click Computer | Manage, then expand Computer Management on the console tree and select System Tools | Device Manager
    • In the Start menu, right-click Computer Properties, then click Device Manager on the left pane
    • Control Panel | Device Manager
    • Control Panel | Hardware and Sound | Device Manager
  2. Under Display Adapters, deactivate you dedicated graphics card
Once in the Social Club, you can activate your graphics card again to play using it.
