Setting another Resolution on Console or changing .ini?

Hello MYT-Admins,

I have the following Question:

Prior Information Notice:

Soon I get a new computer with a new monitor. With the new monitor, I´m considering to buy it in 4K or Full HD resloution.

Of course I would then be able to play well Swat 4 in this resolution.

I inquired on the Internet something.

I have read that you can adjust the resolution as follows:

1. About Console input: "Setres WxHxD" (To set the resolution).

2. About the available setting option in the game settings.

3. .ini-File-Modification.

(If there are other ways, I would be grateful if you would tell me)

These would be the ways that I know...

I do not care about which way to set te screen resolution.

For me it´s just important to be able to play with the desired resolution for me...

Now to the real Question:

The first two settings are surely welcome... (1. and 2.)

But what if I can not adjust my desired resolution over the first two configuration options?

Is it allowed, about .ini modification, to obtain the desired resolution?

I´ve never played with a modificated .ini Online.

But here I am considering to make an exception.

;-) ;-) ;-) <<<Because I would like to be able to play wiht a hight Screen resolution...>>> ;-) ;-) ;-)

It may be that i can achieve my desired resolution from the console input. I would be happy. But I´m just not usre. That´s why I wanted to ask here.

By the way:

I do not prefer to register me in forums. As my administrators (MYT) not responded, I once made an exception...

That´s why I signed up here in the forum.

In order to do it all literally...

I do not want to be registered in forums. Because I do not like that...

I just wanted to quickly take care of everything...

Thank you in advance...

It all comes down to changes in one of the .ini files, no matter which method you use. It's a safe modification, like changing your key bindings.

Does that mean that i can change the .ini file to obtain the desired screen resolution?

Without to be banned by servers for .ini-Hacking...?

Thanks in advance...

Ok. All right.

Thanks for the answers...

I am glad that i can make the changes...

I always thought that is not allowed, because otherwise you can not play online or you will be banned...

But I have still the following questions relating to the modification options:

I´ve also read that you can make the following modifications to make the game better.

But I want to ask first before I do that.

The following modifications:

1. [D3DDrv.D3DRenderDevice]

UseTripleBuffering = False to "True" ...

Improvement: You can get performance gain as high as 70% ...

2. [ALAudio.ALAudioSubsystem]

UseEAX = False to "Ture"

Use3DSound = False to "True"

Improvement: You can get better sound (3D) ...

3. [Engine.Player]

ConfiguredInternetSpeed = 10000 to 20000 ...

Improvement: Better Internet Speed ...
_______________________________________________________________

So, that´s it...

Are these modifications also allowed?

Thanks in advance...

Best regards...
