Really nice!

MYT could officially support this game in a new division. Its seems nearest to SWAT4 than any other game...

So let's wait (again).

Thx for that Serge

Well the Rainbow Six has long been categorized as 'tactical FPS', the same as SWAT (strating with the 3rd If I remember correctly?).

However, the gameplay, and game mechanics tend to differ.
One think that might join dimonkey's bad impressions, is that, as every Ubisoft, title, the game heavily focus itself on single player with a heavily scripted/guided playthrough.

The best you could do to convince yourself of the rather different overall feeling in the games of the series is to try some oh them: 'Vegas 2' for example (the only one I touched which provided me with a nice new game for a few weeks).

The spirit and the guts and feelings are somewhat different.

However, maybe am I wrong: please test it and provide the community with your feedback, and let us see what happens next... :P

Just imho R6 lost its way through a series of bad console -> PC ports since R6: Lockdown:

1998 - R6 good esp. single player (Red Storm) (PC, PS1 and N64)
1999 - R6:RS good esp. single player (Red Storm) (PC)
2000 - Ubisoft buys Redstorm
2003 - R6 3: RVS very good esp. Multi-player (Red Storm & Ubisoft) (PC)

Game gets designed for console and ported to PC.

2005 - R6: Lockdown = fail (Ubisoft) (Xbox, PS2 and PC)
2006 - R6: Vegas = fail (Ubisoft) (Xbox360,PC and PS3)
2008 - R6: Vegas 2 = fail (Ubisoft) (PC, Xbox360 and PS3)

Hope I am wrong about Ubisoft and that they bring back something of what made RVS so good. For me SWAT4 took over the baton from RVS and continued instead of it after R6: Lockdown (or "R6: Letdown" depending on your preference!) failed.

This will be a hit console game.

Like BF3.

You can play it and maybe you will enjoy it for a week or two. After that, you will never touch it again.. kinda like BF3.

PS: Point is, BF3 sucked and every console 'tactical' shooter is shite.

The destruction model is something. I'm concerned by those 5 seconds magical revival ability.

Missed opportunity (unless that magic will be toggleable in configs).

hey guys =) hope you're doing well!

Oh man, sooo long, glad to see that my favourite little bugger is still alive =D.

About the game it's really look promising the graphic part at least, but as some said UBISOFT is somehow a bad news for that kind of game.

Maybe some hope for a Swat5 in the horizon, Sierra was bought some times ago and they plane to refresh some franchise, if we are lucky swat 4 is one of them =).
