Planck's telescope revealed the universe's oldest light
Scientists who evaluate images sent Planck telescope, after more than six months to build the image of sky, where you can watch the "oldest light" in the universe. Device by which the images were acquired and are able to distinguish and detect light at very long wavelengths, which are hidden to the human eye.
The remains of the oldest light in the universe captured Planck telescope.....
Researchers say that a data set that are due to Planck telescope available to help them better understand how the universe was shaped into the form we know it today.
"It's a breathtaking image, is a kind of beauty," said Jan Tauber, the BBC is working on a project evaluating images of the Planck telescope.
Foreground is dominated by large parts of the Milky Way. The bright horizontal line that intersects the image of the whole length, is the main disk of our galaxy, which includes the Sun and Earth.
They are not stars....
Because the image depicts radiation at the longest wavelengths, are not actually given it its own stars, but the material from which they are made - a lot of dust and gas.
Worth powerful currents of cold dust, which reach thousands of light years above and below the galactic space.
"We see the structure of our galaxy, expressed as gas and dust, which tells us much about what is happening in the neighborhood of the sun, and how galaxies form," did not hide his enthusiasm Professor Andrew Jaffe, who represented the team at Imperial College.
First Light....
Although the radiation from the Milky Way is a beautiful, scientists need to be filtered out of the frames in order to get even better shots of her mottled background that is the image shown in yellow and purple. These are the remnants of the cosmic microwave background radiation (CMB), a key objective of the mission.
Scientists refer to natural background radiation, visible in images of the Planck telescope, the first light, which could start spreading the universe after the Big Bang cooled enough space so that they can begin to form hydrogen atoms. Before that happened, the universe was so hot that matter and radiation are bound together and the universe was opaque and opaque.......
