A crew of dirty cops is blackmailed by the Russian mob to execute a virtually impossible heist. The only way to pull it off is to manufacture a 999, police code for “officer down”. Their plan is turned upside down when the unsuspecting rookie they set up to die foils the attack, triggering a breakneck, action-packed finale filled with double-crosses, greed and revenge.

An entertaining gritty crime romp...with some moments of brutality...
But somehow a tad average which is a pity considering the star cast,
Performances were good...just that the pace and storyline were well lacking.

In a near future, a technology-reliant society pits man against killing machines. Against this backdrop an elite army unit is helicoptered to a remote, off-the-grid island training facility. What starts out as a simple training exercise for Captain Bukes and his tight-knit unit, descends into a terrifying battle to the death, as the marines discover the island is overrun by an enemy that transcends the human concept of evil.
<><><>
Decent performances and visual effects...but an average storyline.
Like so many low budget films these days are let down in one way or other.
Nevertheless does entertain if you can forgive the slow pace.
5.5/10

In 1942, Henan Province was devastated by the most tragic famine in modern Chinese history, resulting in the deaths of at least three million men, women and children. Although the primary cause of the famine was a severe drought, it was exacerbated by locusts, windstorms, earthquakes, epidemic disease and the corruption of the ruling Kuomintang government.

If you are into Chinese history of this period and like good drama then this is for you.
Brody & Robbins play cameo parts but that's fine.
So not for everyone...
