Challenge Vip 2.0

Hey MYTs

I already got the OK for another match with you in 2-3 weeks from Braveheart.
We also talked about to play the new Vip 2.0 CTF ("Capture the Flag") Mod by |DoA|>MaPsTaR<Cmd> .
Not everyone of you will know this mod, so I thought I do an official challenge request in your forum and take
the opportunity to explain it ;)

The Rules:

Both teams have a VIP, which has to be escorted to exit.
Suspect's exit is near swat spawn. The VIP can only escape when
the opponent's vip is arrested. Arrest timer will stop when both VIPs are arrested.

Gameplay:
Suspect's vip is colored in red, Swat's Vip is colored in blue.
The mod provides much more tactical options than you had in the normal Vip Mode.
You have to rethink all old tactics you used in common Vip Mode and apply a new
teamplay and strategy. Also it is good balanced. MaPsTaR really did a great job on this mod and
I look forward to finally play a match in this mod ;)

Additional Info:
-Spawnpoints and -triggers remain the same. So you will see for example in Brewer County Courthouse that
Suspect's and Swat's spawnpoint switched already with first respawn, as a vip (=the suspect's vip) is already on first floor.
- The suspect's vip has handcuffs, what might be a little advantage for suspects.
- The mod is of course completely server sided. You won't have to install/download anything.
- Mappy put a public server running this mod online (IP see below), so we all can train the mod a bit. Keep in mind that
on public servers Rambo Vips could ruin the game for everyone. But that won't happen in a match,
and such behaviour of vips also spoils the game in the common vip mode ;)

About match:

- Teams: FA + DoA vs MYT (mixed teams again ;) )
- Players: 5vs5++
- UAC: optional, as we play for fun and maybe dont want endure lags ;)
- Mode: Vip 2.0
- Maps: We agreed not to take Red Library or Riverside Training Facility (in last x matches we played those maps, time for a change :-) )
- Server: DoA Vip 2.0 (CTF) Server: 83.169.9.122:11080
- Date: End of October, we can fix a date later

Take a look at this mod, I promise you won't regret as it's nicely composed :clap:
When I couldn't convince enough of you to play the match in Vip 2.0, its of course also
possible to play a match in common Vip mode.

Sounds AWESOME!! I think even I would like to play that match ;D...


BTW I have one question what about one VIP is dead or exit because if on Brewer County Courthouse map if sus spawning on first floor so there is exit for swat or is on roof top if is on rooftop how is that fair sus need to go just down one level and swat three levels up near SUS spawn or them floor??

If one Vip is dead, the team who killed this Vip loses (like in common Vip mode).
When a Vip is in exit, a message appears for him, that the other Vip must be arrested before he can escape.
When one Vip is arrested, the 2 minute timer starts, and when the time is up the Vip can be killed to win the round.
Additionally a Vip can escape while the other Vip is cuffed.

1st spawn for Swat is in garage, 2nd spawn near phones. They will spawn at C, and later at D when their Vip changes spawn as usual (or the Suspects' Vip does so, what might be a tactic to force the Swat team spawn at C/D, also when theres doubt about its benifit :) ).
Suspects' 1st spawn is on 1st floor, 2nd spawn in 2nd floor already.
I already discussed the "Courthouse issue" with Mappy. On public server in my opinion advantage is for Swat team, because they can catch easily the newbie vip, who will run downstairs to phones/metal.
But in a match it's different due to tactical behaviour of the Vips.
Suspects at beginning just have to move down to garage, but this is risky. When they aren't able to arrest Swat's Vip, their Vip might be arrested in return and Suspects will spawn in 2nd floor with a little chance to rescue him.
So in a normal game (with no crazy Suspect Vip changing spawns), Suspects will spawn always away from their Vip, but Swats will spawn with their Vip.
It will be interesting to play this map, and see if a team has an advantage there.
However most other maps don't have this strange spawns like on Brewer Courthouse (right now I cant find any similar map).

I played it many times,so nice mode and would be much better in match with tactics in both teams.So we would have to train harder and make those tactics. :army41:
But i have a question:i dont remember if spawn still changes while swat's vip arrive at the changing point or there is any other possibility?

if you mean the work for the mod, it's all Mappy's idea and work ;)
FA has nothing to do with it.
I just love playing this mod so I'm doing some advertisement :P

Hmm I still have a question about VIPs.

When one of them is cuffed, does the other need to wait 2 min before being able to escape?

When one vip is cuffed 2min timer starts but the other vip no need to wait 2 min to escape. He can escape anytime during first vip is in cuffs.

Yes,so u can wait the 2 min covering ur vip and later kill the other or make ur vip go exit to finish before,but if they arrest him,time stop :o
