The best alternatief for torrents ... beter then torrents becaus the speed, iam downloading movie's @ 2371KB/s flat with a 25MB line you can download at 100MB flat if you have the line ... thats 1 normal DVD 4,7gb in less then 5 minuts and a Blu-Ray 45gb in 50 minuts ....... iam using this newsgroups for almost 6 years now its great and they cant get it down like torrent site.
When you guys need tips ore help please contact me .... but first read it in this site and read my guide and try it yourself.

The things you need are:
1. provider who supports newsgroups ore get a extern newsgroup server (pay server for 2 euro/month) http://www.binaries4all.com/payservers/
2. Spotgrit (viewer for in newsgroups to see what is post) http://www.spotgrit.org/ here you can download the NZB file for exemple a movie .......... Ore http://www.binaries4all.com/spotlite/ for the English Spotlite tutorial, its almost the same as spotgrit but grit is beter for me.
3. grabit to download the NZB to you harddisk these are all .rar files and some repair files http://www.binaries4all.com/grabit/
4. Quickpar to repair the files http://www.binaries4all.com/quickpar/
5. And WinRAR to extrect the fileshttp://www.binaries4all.com/winrar/

For example this is a NZB site where you can download the NZB file on you harddrive (its a little file) dont worry its all save http://www.nzbindex.com/ (search for example the movie ''Immortals.2011.x264.1080.NLsubs.MULTI''
Then when you have install grabit and you double click the NZB file, the movie will dowload as a RAR file on your harddrive and some repair files .PAR2 ....... then double click on the last repair file (PAR2) and Quickpar will do his job ...... then Unpack with Winrar, double click on first RAR file and afther some minuts (1 ore 3) you have a good .MVK movie on 1080p DTS DD5.1 on you disk.
There are many files on newsgroup so you can see on Spotgrit i always download MKV ore full blu-rays for my mediaplayer bud you can also download it on 4,7 GB DVD ore XVIDS, MPG, HD, ect. ect. and yes Ronny a lot of filty PORN

A little reminder (call it troll? xD) about what yo uare doing:

Never forget that centralized network schemes (server/client) allow to also centralize IP address with the time of connection if the server is ever to be controlled by officials.

On the other hand, decentralized form of sharing (p2p with BitTorrent being the most efficient design of it atm) makes it a lot harder to have your back traced in the case of some servers compromised.
That is simply because:

• You only get small parts from many different machines that it is impossible to trace them all and make a proof yo udownloaded one specific file (in the case one of the seeders is some honeypot)
• Good BitTorrent clients use encryption to prevent third-parties reading your content, so unless yo uare connecting to a honeypot you can be confident we can't read your traffic between your computer and the other distant one

Torrent is not flawed by download rates. This problems appears due to people called leechers who download but don't upload. That's not what 'sharing' is intended to be.

If you choose your torrents well you may have enough seeders (people who completed the download) or even enough leechers who have different parts of the files to have a huge download rate.
I got a movie in a matter of minutes not that long ago.

Don't forget every MegaUpload user can be in trouble now because the FBI has all the information they need. Of course only "big fishs" will face that for real for sure, but don't wait it is too late to think about it.

Don't get fooled by the speed argument of centralized schemes. You are always paying convenience (simple link, no ther software than your browser) with something else.
