Reading too much? Post what you are reading..

Happy Birthday.. gofhng oh sorry, got confused from reading Happy Birthday threads everywhere. :P

Seriously though, anyone here interested in reading fiction or non-fiction novels/books? Recommend some (no spoilers please).

I am so bored of gaming that forget playing anything, I haven't even logged into Xfire for some time. Instead, spending time reading a lot.

So far I've read (in about a week.. probably less):
On Writing: A Memoir Of The Craft - Stephen King
Rendezvous with Rama - Arthur C. Clarke
The Catcher In The Rye - J. D. Salinger
To Kill A Mockingbird - Harper Lee (actually, last 10 pages left, will finish tonight.. LOVE IT!)

Next on my list are:
David Copperfield - Charles Dickens (1200+ pages, unabridged hardcover, ordered it today)
Lord Of The Flies - William Golding
The Gods Themselves - Isaac Asimov
Nightfall - Isaac Asimov

To be honest, I have like 20 unread books in my library (includes Darwin to Edgar Alan Poe and 6 new I ordered today) and since I have stopped gaming, I am FINALLY reading. AND, I am finding it hard to do anything on computer at all (except Max work). I just read, a lot. Oh and also, had fever a week ago. Did nothing but lie in bed and read read READ.

So if anyone is reading something interesting, post the name so I can hunt down that book (unless it's Math or something.. why would you recommend Math? Not cool.).

Ahh nice nice. Noted down the names (spending time collecting a lot of authors :D).

Post non-fiction titles as well if you read them.

I read a lot of psychology and serial killer (True Crime genre) related stuff as well. But that's on books on my PC, unlike the one on dead tree skins (which I prefer, to be honest). Point is, I read anything as long as it isn't math or hardcore science.

Some non-fiction books I have (on "Dead Tree Skins" (C)):
The Magic of Reality: How we know what's really true - Richard Dawkins
The Greatest Show On Earth - Richard Dawkins
A Briefer History of Time - Stephen Hawking
The Grand Design - Stephen Hawking
Physics of the Future: The Inventions That Will Transform Our Lives

Re: Reading too much? Post what you are reading..

Unfortunately, I played the video game first. :(

I have this weird problem where if I see a movie or play a video game based on book before reading the book, I can't go back and read the book because too much has been spoilt and shown to me. Same thing happened to LOTR..

This is why I haven't seen a single Godfather movie and am waiting to read Godfather (which I do have..) before I see the movies.

My Reference Library concentrates on the Military aspects of Aviation....

Royal Flying Corps, Royal Air Force & Fleet Air Arm
United States Air Force, US Army Air Force, US Navy & US Marine Air Corps
Luftwaffe
Various European Air Forces
Imperial Japanese Army Air Force & Imperial Japanese Navy Air Force.

Histories include Pilots there exploits & Operations.
Many titles concentrate on specific squadrons...

I have a DB to catalog them...

Check out the Osprey series of books..which are starter titles..

Interesting. I have never read any aviation related stuff, but have seen Aviator though. I am guessing that won't qualify so I should probably read something history related for this. Thanks. :)
