This is a Stunning portrayal of the Times.......Extremely Violent, Very Bloody combat which was the Gladitorial stage...
Explicit Sex, Full frontal nudity & Orgies abound, as does Political corruption.....
Make no mistake this series does not pull any punches, some scenes will sicken you others make you winch, neverthe less they are in keeping with what we know of the Period.
Entertaining...most certainly...Atmospheric..Yes
My only criticism is that the Blood effects sometimes go way over the top, as does the Slow motion action..
So be warned this Series is not for the faint hearted, nor those that will be offended by the sexual content.

Not a bad adventure, Reasonable Storyline & nicely photographed.....The Performances in the main were good and believable, the Special Effects were tolerable.....
Still it did not grab me as it should..
