Million Dollar Baby (2004)

Maggie Fitzgerald, a poor thirty-one year old waitress from the very lower classes and with a dysfunctional loser family, decides to make a difference through boxing. She convinces the experienced hardened boxing trainer Frankie Dunn to coach her and be her manager, with the support of his old partner Eddie Scrap-Iron Dupris, who sees her potential as a boxer. Frankie has a problematical relationship with his daughter, and practically adopts Maggie along her career.

The best sport movie ever!

Great Clint Eastwood (directior and actor) and Morgan Freeman and Hilary Swank

Must watch it!

Won 4 Oscars.

10/10 One of my favourite [smilie=sign0175.gif]

Primal Fear (1996)

An altar boy is accused of murdering a priest, and the truth is buried several layers deep.

Great!!!

Excellent acting (Edward Norton) nominated for Oscar.

Great script keeping in suspense.

I recommend to all (especially who like Grisham's books)

The Shawshank Redemption (1994)

I know an old title, but this movie is easily one of my all time favorite movies. No action, no special effects, only great creation of art.

Probably everyone may have watched this movie. If not, then its a must watch movie.

The Dark Night (2008)

Saw this at the cinema at last week, Christian bale plays an awesome performance as the menacing vigilante for gotham city, Heath ledger- his last performance was certainly his best as the Joker- dont think theres ever been a scarier bad guy. Overall i loved the whole concept of the story line, very unpredictable and tense also very good special effects.

oh and its full of swat ;)

Overall 8.5/10

Rescue Dawn (2006)

Christian bale again plays an aswesome performance as the downed US pilot fighting to survive in the Laos Jungle. After being shot down diet dangler (Bale) is captured and tortured by peasents. When brought to a nearby camp he formulates a plan to esacpe with 4 other POW's, with sucess he finds himslef partnered with POW Duane (Steve Zahn).

A Rich survival film which is weirdly inspiring- based on a true story.

Overall 8/10

ANOTHER REVIEW from me

Captivity UK Certificate 18

850000 people are reported missing in America each Year??¦??¦??¦Many are never seen again.

Top cover girl & fashion model, Jennifer Tree (Elisa Cuthbert) has it all??”beauty, fame, money & power. Everyone wants her. But someone out there has been watching & waiting??¦??¦??¦??¦??¦..
Someone wants her in the worst possible way??¦
This is a chilling film, and be warned contains torture & grissly images??¦??¦..Harrowing well acted horror??¦

Recommended to Horror fans??¦??¦.

A gun-for-hire "Hitman" is a genetically-engineered, elite assassin known only as Agent 47 hired by a group known only as 'The Organization' is ensnared in a political conspiracy, which finds him pursued by both Interpol and the Russian military as he treks across Eastern Europe.

Another predictable script. Poor action with actor who actually doesn't look like Hitman :?

I not recommended this :cens:

5/10
I picked this film up in a bundle deal and I have to say I thought it was okay.

sure its predicatable, nothing like the game and the acting is not that good.

But it entertained me for the duration. Its not of the Jason Bourne standard but if you have time to kill and are sick of the olympics then its worth a go.

I'd give it a 6 or 7 outa 10

Well for me it was a disappointing movie. I think they should have ended with the second movie. This movie had bad visual effects, bad storyline.......

4.5 / 10 for me

This movie is better than the above one. I would prefer to watch this movie than, The mummy one, any day.

7 / 10 for me

The Man from Earth (2007)

An impromptu goodbye party for Professor John Oldman becomes a mysterious interrogation after the retiring scholar reveals to his colleagues he is an immortal who has walked the earth for 14,000 years

This is by far the most unusual and thoughtful movie I have ever seen. It is so nice to watch a movie that depends solely on story and dialogue, no action, no visual effects. Those who love intelligent science fiction, must watch this movie.

10 / 10
